INTL FCStone's Pete Anderson Inducted Into the Kansas Cooperative Council Hall of Fame
NEW YORK, April 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- INTL FCStone Inc. (Nasdaq:INTL) today announced that its President, Paul G. "Pete" Anderson, was inducted into the Kansas Cooperative Council Hall of Fame in recognition for his contributions to the advancement of the cooperative philosophy.
Anderson has been a part of the Kansas cooperative community for 36 years since he went to work at a cooperative in Holton, KS as Assistant Manager in 1976. He also was a cooperative General Manager at Effingham, KS (1978-1981) and Greenleaf, KS (1981-1987). His energetic, innovative character has led all the organizations he has managed to the forefront of the industry.
Anderson has worked for INTL FCStone Inc. and its precursors since 1987 when he was Farmers Commodities Corporation's Director of its Integrated Risk Management Program. He has led and educated hundreds of customers and brokers in a basic disciplined hedge program, literally transforming how merchandising was viewed and transacted.
Through Anderson's leadership, the business focus of FCStone Group Inc. (the company that ultimately merged with International Assets Holding Corporation to form INTL FCStone Inc.) expanded from a primary emphasis on cooperatives to a broad-based emphasis on a wide variety of middle-market companies. That change in the company's business model led to a successful conversion to a Stock Company and eventually to becoming a publicly traded company in 2007.
Currently, Anderson is CEO of INTL FCStone's futures commission merchant FCStone, LLC and President of INTL FCStone Inc.
